P & P Cleaning Services Ltd began in the early 1980s when John started out as a domestic window cleaner. What began as a small local service was built on hard work, reliability and pride in doing a good job.

The Early Years
1985
In 1985, Nikki’s uncle joined John, and together they grew P & P into something bigger, building a trusted name and a loyal customer base across the local area.
1998
In 1998, Nikki joined the business to help in the office at just 18 years old. What started as helping out her uncle for free soon became a permanent part of her life, and she has been involved ever since. Alongside this, she also continued building her own career in web design, which is why she now runs two businesses.
2005
In 2005, Nikki’s brother Stuart joined P & P at the age of 16, learning the trade from the ground up and becoming a key part of the company’s future.
2006
Nikki married John in 2006, making P & P not just a long-standing business, but a true family business in every sense.
A Business Kept in the Family
Over the years, P & P became much more than a job. It became part of the family’s identity, history and future.
Sadly, John was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at just 55 years old. His condition progressed quickly into Dementia, and the business was eventually put up for sale. At that point, Nikki felt strongly that the company should remain in the family. In 2022, Nikki and Stuart worked hard to gather the financial support they needed and bought the business themselves, all while caring for John during an incredibly difficult time.
Today, John is living in a care home and no longer has his memories or capacity. That makes the decision to keep P & P in the family feel even more important and even more special.
Growing the Legacy
Since purchasing the company in 2022, Nikki and Stuart have taken everything the business stood for and built on it.
In the first year alone, they doubled the size of the company. Today, P & P Cleaning Services Ltd is four times bigger than it was, with services that now go far beyond traditional window cleaning.
As well as domestic and commercial window cleaning, the business now carries out specialist exterior cleaning services including jet washing and road sign cleaning, helping clients across a much wider range of sectors.
Training, Standards and Looking Forward
P & P has always believed in learning, improving and raising standards within the industry. In May 2013, John and Stuart completed training with Brian at the Federation of Window Cleaners, an experience Stuart still remembers fondly. That training became part of the company’s journey and reflects the value P & P places on development and professionalism.
While there is sadness within the story, there is also pride, determination and progress. P & P Cleaning Services Ltd is proof that a window cleaning business can grow into something much bigger, and that with hard work, belief and family behind it, it can become a lasting legacy.
